FINANCIAL LITERACY INITIATIVE A NEW NATIONAL PLATFORM TO ENHANCE FINANCIAL EDUCATION

FINANCIAL LITERACY INITIATIVE (FLI) CELEBRATES FIRST YEAR ANNIVERSARY

– FLI Team

Last year on the 15th of March 2012, the honourable Minister of Finance, Saara Kuugogewla Amadhila officially launched the Financial Literacy Initiative in Windhoek, at the Soweto Market in Katutura. Since the launch of the initiative last year, it has been rolled out to different regions in Namibia (Khomas, Erongo, Hardap, Karas, Omusati, Oshana, Ohangwena, Oshikoto, Caprivi and Kavango regions irrespectively). The initiative has been well received by the public as well as the Platform Partners of the Initiative.

As the initiative celebrates its first anniversary on the 15th March 2013, we also plan to launch a Facebook page to complement our current educational material in an attempt to educate the nation on finances. We encourage you to celebrate with the Initiative by making informed and effective decisions regard-ing the use and management of your finances. Happy 1st Anniversary!
