New Year, New Goals: A Message from the Editor
As 2017 kicked off, I joined the Consumer Education Bulletin team with a sense of purpose and excitement. Having come from the banking and communications sectors, I’m proud to now be part of a regulatory authority that places consumer education at the heart of its mission.
This first edition of the year features articles to guide consumers in making informed financial decisions—from pension fund insights to medical aid advice and more.
Here are some reflections and takeaways as we start the year:
- New Year, New You (Whether it's saving money or advancing your career, set clear goals and stay focused)
- Growth Through Change (Change can be uncomfortable, but it's also necessary for professional and personal development)
- The Power of Networking (Building strong relationships is key. Career growth often comes through conversations and connections)
- Consumer Rights Matter (This publication continues to inform and empower the public about their financial rights and responsibilities)
Let’s make 2017 a year of impact—both personally and for the consumers we serve.
What steps are you taking to grow this year?
