BUDGETING
Some people think they earn so little income that they don’t need to budget. The truth is, you can’t afford NOT to budget. People are different in almost every way except one: we would all like to have more money! But as we will soon learn, we already have more money than we realise! All that’s needed is to budget properly. Financial planning can be divided into Present Needs, Future Goals and Safety Net expenses (for emergencies). It is IMPORTANT to include a savings component in your budget. You can only save if you cut on your wants, i.e. things that you can live without such as expensive shoes and expensive gadgets such as home theatre systems, top of the range cell phones etc. Only buy what you need and do not try to live a life that is beyond your means just in order to impress other people.
